Scholastic
has produced another excellent CD-ROM which helps young children to develop
important early reading, maths and creativity skills while having fun. The
skills practiced include word recognition, sentence structure, rhyming,
counting, addition and subtraction, critical thinking, pattern recognition,
logic and reasoning, colours and shapes, spatial reasoning, classifying and
sorting, cause and effect, memory and matching, sound patterns and rhythm,
creativity and fine motor skills. There are 10 activities to choose from, with
three adjustable levels of skill, personally chosen at the beginning of a game,
but which adapt according to your child's progress. Posters can be produced and
automatic help allows for independent play.

Description
Clifford
Learning Activities brings children into Clifford’s neighbourhood to help
Clifford and his friends perform good deeds on Birdwell Island. As a result of
their good deeds, the community can win a contest that would feature it in a
special issue of a popular magazine. Players follow Clifford and his friends to
seven different locations where 10 activities let children practice early
development skills like maths, reading, sorting, matching, creativity and word
building. Throughout the game, Clifford talks to his dog-friends when humans are
not around and, in true Clifford fashion, he continually gets into trouble
because he is so big-creating humorous situations that entertain and engage
kids.
