CAL is also the home of two ERIC clearinghouses:
The ERIC Clearinghouse on Languages and Linguistics publishes FAQs, resource guides, databases, newsletters, information syntheses, and books about foreign language, English as a second language, and linguistics. ERIC/CLL also offers an expert question-answering service and searches of the ERIC database.

National Center for ESL Literacy Education
This center focuses on language and literacy education for adults and out-of-school youth learning English as a second language. Online publications include ERIC Digests and Q&As, topical resource collections, FAQs about adult ESL, and the NCLE Notes newsletter. NCLE also moderates a listserv for adult ESL educators.
